I’ve been dying to share this news for sometime now, and finally the time has come! I'm extremely excited to announce, I officially joined the Mercedes-AMG Petronas formula 1 team as Esports team manager.

As an esports enthusiast, A formula 1 fan and as someone who truly enjoys simracing as a hobby, I am beyond excited to be in this position with such a historical, championship winning team and I cannot wait to get stuck in and help shape the esports programme here.

About Mark Weller

Joining Vexed Gaming in 2016, Mark revitalised a struggling brand in the United Kingdom. Creating a solid foundation, building revenue streams, scouting talent and bringing the organisation’s first championship trophy in his first year. Since then Mark has scouted, nurtured and developed a large number of talents who have since gone on to play for some of the World's leading teams such as G2 Esports, Navi, Fnatic and more.

In 2021 Mark was also selected as Team Manager for Great Britain's Esports team, which competed at the inaugural Singapore Global Esports Games, where the squad returned with a silver medal in Dota2. He was also selected as Team Manager for England in the Commonwealth Games Esports Championship in 2022, returning with 5 out of a possible 6 medals (1 gold, 3 silvers and 1 bronze medal) for the country in a historical pilot event. .

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports Team is the esports team of the 8 time constructors Championship winning Formula One Team.

Based on the premises of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, Brackley, a purpose-built esports training centre provides the team’s gamers with world class facilities and state-of-the-art equipment from our Esports partners, to develop their skills, train and compete. Being integrated into the Driver-in-Loop Simulator department, where F1 development drivers provide feedback to engineers on a virtual model of the car, the esports programme will benefit from transferable elements pertinent to optimising car set-up and honing race craft.

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports Team boasts multiple championships and currently competes in the official F1 Esports Series, Le mans virtual series, V10 League, Formula E Accelerate and more.
